Perfectly Flawed…
Genesis 1:27 says “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them.”
We were created by a perfect God. But we are imperfect people, every single one of us. Why? Because mankind fell for a lie. It goes all the way back to the garden. God created us in His perfect image and what was simply an instantaneous disobedience, has continued on and on with mankind pushing our way, wanting what we want, instead of basking in the perfect goodness He desires for us.
God is perfect, there is no flaw in our Savior. He is pure light in which darkness cannot survive. There is no trace of selfishness or hate in Him. We have all that we have because He is good. He wants the best for us. He does not insist on obedience to Him because He is insecure or needs to be worshiped. Not so!! He requires it for our good because it is what is best for us. He is Holy, Just, Merciful, Loving, All Powerful, Faithful, Righteous, All Knowing and Sovereign.
DEUTERONOMY 32:3-4 “I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.”
Let us do what He asks of us. You will know what is right from His word, through prayer and from that inner still voice guiding you in the right direction. That’s when life is good! He asks for us to obey His sweet word, all for our good. And what could be more perfect than that? Being loved and corrected by a Savior Who cherishes us and wants the very best for us! That, my friends, is what makes living this life good! Having Jesus, loving Jesus and living for Jesus. Because though we’re imperfect, we can be perfected in Him! We serve and are deeply loved by a flawless Savior! Take that in and be refreshed today!
God Bless your sweet souls!
